What to Expect: We offer comprehensive sleep studies in a comfortable environment. Pregistration is necessary through MWH's Patient Access office, 540.741.2000, Option 2. Preparation instructions will be given by your physician and/or Patient Access.

Patients should complete the Sleep Disorder Questionnaire and the Sleep Disorder Epworth Sleepiness Scale before arriving. Your room will be like a hotel and equipped with a full size bed, TV, VCR, small refrigerator and individual bathroom.

Personal items are not the responsibility of staff.

Hours:
Office hours: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5:00 pm.
Sleep Studies: Open 7 days a week
7:00 pm - 6:30 am.

If you need us immediately, patients may call 540.752.7830.

Parking: Parking is located in front of the building. Security makes hourly rounds throughout the night.

Cell Phones: Cell phones may be used in the facility but must be turned off at bedtime.

Children: We treat children and adults. An adult must remain with patients if they are a child/minor. Children may accompany adult patients, but all family members must leave before bedtime.

About Sleep Disorders
Frequent sleep problems and daytime sleepiness that interfere with work and other activities affect a majority of Americans. Problems such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea, snoring, Restless Leg Syndrome and Periodic Limb Movement disorder are some of the 95 identified sleep disorders. The Sleep Disorders Center evaluations are done through various overnight and specialized daytime sleep studies. Studies include:

  • Polysomnography (sleep study)
  • CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure)
  • Titration
  • Split Polysomnography
  • MSLT (Multiple Sleep Latency Test)

If you suspect you may have a sleep-related problem, please see your doctor, who may then order a sleep study for further evaluation.
