out that where you carry excess weight does mater. If you carry fat mainly around
your waist, you're more likely to develope obesity-related health problems. This
is true even if your BMI falls within the normal range.
To measure your waist circumference correctly:
1. Slowly breathe out.
2. Wrap a measuring tap around your belly. For men, measure around the navel. For
women, measure midway between the botof the ribs and top of the hipbone.
3.Make sure not to hold your stomach in. It's important to get a true reading.
